Hello everyone. I am currently in France. I have seen some beautiful places. I will share some of my photos with you. I sent two postcards, hopefully they will arrive before I return. My first stop was Dublun, Ireland. The second was Paris, France. My third stop is Lourdes, France. In a few days I will be in Barcelona. So there was a change in plans. We did not go to Spain we went to Malta. Malta is beautiful. We sat on the beach, went to a farmers market and ate delicious food. In Malta they love cats. There are little cat houses everywhere. Some are in unique shapes. We also saw giant boats being loaded. We are currently in Italy. We started in Rome and now, Naples. On sunday I am going to the volcano. I will post the pictures on monday. We visited the ruins of Pompei. It has been in recovery since 1951. It was covered by pumice from Mount Vesuvius in 79ad. Mount Vesuvius. Sadly there was no lava, no smoke, nothing to exciting. There has been a few earthquakes recently. One on sept 30th and one last night oct 2nd. We felt it last night while sitting on the terrace. We went back to France to a town called Arras. This is where my Robitaille side came from. Vimy Ridge monument is only a 15 minute drive, it is called "The Battle of Arras". We found out that a lot of the town was destroyed during WW1 and wwas rebuilt. While we were there the first world wide french frie compition was being held. We spent on last night in Dublin then flew home. It was an amazing trip. We met some lovely people and saw so many beautiful things.

We may not have a house centre in our room but we still have a lot of dramatic play going on.
We have some new characters to play with so everyone joined in. We also did some poke a dot painting. Fun times in the forest and the classroom. We can do inside work outdoors and bring nature items indoors. We are flexible that way. Here are some fun things we did. The app has been not behaving. Sorry for the delay.
What do you we do when we see a skeleton? We examine it of course.
We found a squirrel skeleton on the trail on thursday. The children were very curious about how it got there and why. We examined it up close and noticed fur, teeth, bones and blood. The blood we only a dot or two. The next day we had stopped to look again. This time the children created answers to their questions. They made their own theories. Lots of learning is happening. We went for a walk to learn some safety rules before we head out to camp. We found the trail markers, plants to watch out for and some creatures. Can you label the plants? Can you name the creatures?
