We went skating today. M asked if we could find the pond and go skating. He asked all the others and everyone wanted to go. We cleaned up and headed down the trail. It was farther than they thought. We saw lots of deer prints on the way. When we arrived Susanne checked the ice for safety, it was good. We went over the safety rules and emergency procedures. Then we had fun. A lot of fun. ☆ We visited the pond in the fall. The pond is only two feet deep. Totally safe. Written by Susanne Robitaille.

We went to our camp for the first time since december. I felt like home. We sat in our spots and the children took turns doing the land acknowledgement. They remember all the parts. I am so impressed. The children used the dishes we brought and decorated the house. There was a line up for the climbing tree. It was a cold day, fingers and toes were a little chilly. So we went for a hike and showed Aira the broken car and rock island. It was a great day.
ER decided to use the climbing tree as a musical intrument. He found that each branch had it's own sound. The others followed and pretty soon we were listening to beautiful natural music. On the way to camp we found a huge bird like footprint. We are trying to figure out what made the print? Where was it running to? We then noticed all the prints in the snow. We even saw the bird like print on the trail. If you have a theory about the prints please share in the comment section. Written by Susanne Robitaille. |
