We have had a busy week. We began our Jolly Phonics and Forest School. We did our 's' and 'a' sounds. We practised upper and lower case letters and shared some words with these sounds in the beginning, middle and end of words and names.
At forest school we learned all the rules we need to keep safe. We built walls to make a house. We then used dishes and nature items found to make dinner and snacks (pretend ofcourse). On our way out of the forest we left vegetables for the animals. We also found a snake that had an injury. We hope it will survive. There was a snail hanging around in a bush. The next day we found the snake had moved to the side of the road instead of the middle. We think it is trying to mend it's self. The snail was still hanging around and several others. We showed Roxane the Snapping Turtle nest with the empty eggs. The children did some drawing at camp. Tree climbing is a must and so is pretend cooking. Written by S Robitaille.

I really look forward to the weekly updates so thank you for taking the time to post them! Myles tells me all about his day in bits and pieces and I enjoy seeing it all laid out on Friday. It’s really nice to get the updates and see what they have been up to all week. Myles has loved talking about the “camp” and building a house to play in with his friends. He is excited to show me who his friends are in the pictures and explaining to us what he is doing. We are looking forward to a really good year!

I'm happy Myles is sharing his day with you. So much happens each day it's hard to keep up. The photos help to put it together. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for sharing these insights and adventures. It's been so lovely to use the photos as conversation starters with Jack to learn more about his time in the kinder room. He had been talking a lot about recycling this week and then we saw the storm sewer gate all the pieces came together that that's what he was talking about protecting the earth.

Yesterday Ellia started talking about how her friend Jack loves coconuts. Her Dad started singing this song - "Put the lime in the coconut..." and without missing a beat Ellia finished singing the rest of the song! We had no idea she knew the song and we just laughed, it was too funny. Love knowing this is where it came from.

I'm so glad his love of coconuts has spread :) He's been the highlight of family FaceTime calls with his 'lime in the coconut. Leave a Reply. |
